FUR

Genuine fur is timeless — with the right care, it can last for decades.

  • Some natural shedding may occur when your coat first arrives. This is completely normal and will settle with wear.
  • We ship each MEIMÁ coat in a protective plastic bag for hygiene and handling purposes. Once received, remove it from the packaging and allow the fur to breathe.
  • To revive volume and texture after shipping, gently use a cool, low-speed blow dryer to lift and fluff the hairs.
  • Avoid spraying perfume, hairspray, or other cosmetic products directly onto the fur.
  • If your coat gets wet, shake off excess moisture and hang it to dry naturally at room temperature. Never use high heat.
  • Use a wide, padded hanger to preserve the coat’s shape and store it in a cool, dark space.
  • Avoid plastic garment bags for storage — natural fur needs air circulation to prevent drying or matting.
  • We recommend a professional fur cleaning once a year to remove dust and oils and maintain the coat’s natural shine.

LEATHER

To maintain the finish and flexibility of your leather piece:

  • Wipe down regularly with a soft, dry cloth to remove dust and debris.
  • For deeper cleaning, consult a dry cleaner experienced with leather garments.
  • Avoid direct heat and prolonged sun exposure.
  • Store in a cool, dry place using a structured hanger to maintain the silhouette.

SHEARLING

Shearling blends softness with structure and requires gentle care.

  • For light stains, spot-clean with a damp cloth and mild soap.
  • Never soak the garment or apply direct heat.
  • For a full clean, use a specialist dry cleaner.
  • Hang in a well-ventilated space, away from sunlight and moisture. Avoid plastic covers to allow the material to breathe.

SUEDE

Suede offers a rich, tactile feel but needs delicate upkeep.

  • Use a soft suede brush regularly to lift dirt and restore texture.
  • If the garment gets wet, let it dry fully before brushing — never apply heat.
  • Avoid rain and water exposure where possible.
